Musical artist and songwriter, Melissa Deaton has shared the stage with some of the worlds most renowned performers over her years in the music industry. Her voice has been heard on radio shows and has been broadcast all over the globe. She is an "Artist in Residence" at the ‘Kentucky Music Hall of Fame’, has hosted a weekly ‘Listen Locally Open Mic’, has performed on several songwriter rounds over the years, has sang on ‘WoodSongs Old-Time Radio House’ for many years, as well as performed as lead vocalist for some of Kentucky’s most popular dance bands, like The Sensations.
She has won 22 awards through the ‘North American Country Music Association’ including, ‘Album of the Year’ for her first self-titled album, ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ and ‘Entertainer of the Year.’
2022 brought the release of her newest EP ‘In The Sea’ and two nominations for the coveted Josie Music Award in the categories of ‘Country Female Vocalist of the Year’ and ‘EP of the year’ for ‘In The Sea’.
Melissa Deaton is not only talented, but resilient. She has overcome countless personal and professional obstacles on her way up, and she continues to work hard each day to keep her musical journey moving forward. Her greatest joy is being a proud Mom raising her two children, while she continues to write, create, and perform in public as often as possible.
