She started singing at the young age of 9 in her local church and from there she continued to pursue her passion of music by opening for nationally known artists such as Billy Currington, Justin Moore, Hunter Hayes, Love & Theft, Dustin Lynch, Tyler Farr, Rodney Atkins, Scotty McCreery, Mark Wills, Daryl Singletary, Danielle Bradbury, Frankie Ballard, & others. None of these were a match to her stint on Season 11 of American Idol, where she showcased her talent and warmed the hearts of people all over the world. She sang Gwyneth Paltrow’s “Country Strong” as she was featured working with STRIDE, a program for adults with disabilities that Mink is the Director of in Winchester. Not only did she get three yes’ by the celebrity judges, but she gave JLo “goosies” while wooing Steven and Randy. She stunned America by making the Top 300 in Hollywood! Lauren quickly grew her social media following by the thousands overnight! She has performed all over Kentucky from singing the National Anthem at UK Hoops Game, to opening at the Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival and even performed at the 2012 Red, White, Boom at Whiteaker Bank Ballpark! Whether you like Lady Gaga & Pink or Loretta Lynn and Miranda Lambert, you will be entertained with a lively performance by Mink. While mainly country, she will rock out a Bonnie Raitt and Bon Jovi tune to bring out your inner 80’s. No matter what genre of music you are into, Lauren knows how to satisfy her audience. Always working on her music, Lauren is currently writing her own music for the first time and brushing up on her guitar skills for solo performances.
