He has won many awards during a solo competing career spanning 20 years, and has competed with several pipe bands as both a member and as an instructor. He has performed for countless services for families and organizations across the state of Kentucky, including the Kentucky State Police, Alltech (the international broadcast of founder Dr. Pearse Lyons' funeral), as well as, commencements for Indiana University (performing with the Fountain Trust Pipe Band) and Midway University, and performed with the UK Opera.
