With 25 plus years of experience as a solo performer, Jon Aiken plays functions such as corporate events, couple's showers, rehearsal dinners, cocktail/dinner hour at wedding receptions, birthday parties, house and neighborhood parties, grand openings, country clubs and fundraisers. He is also available for wedding ceremonies and receptions that are more laid back and casual. For the reception, he covers many jazz and pop standards, blues, Latin as well as some country music. He can do a little bit of dance music, but if that is what you are primarily looking for, then Kelly can help you find an excellent DJ. Jon performs on Sax, Flute, Harmonica, and Vocals in a variety of styles with an extensive playlist of over 400 songs. He is amenable to your needs and determined to exceed your expectations.
Jon has a CD out called "Welcome to the Real World" amongst other more recently released material. Jon’s style is Pop or Adult Contemporary with a bit of a jazz edge. He’s been playing for the past 25 plus years mostly in the Ohio & Northern Kentucky area. Jon’s musical path started with the harmonica when he was 16. He listened to every style of harmonica player he could find and did his best to absorb their sound and feel. At 18, he started on flute. This was around the time of Jethro Tull and when he also took an interest in learning the art of audio recording purchasing his first 4 track reel to reel. At 23, he picked up an alto sax and has studied and pushed himself ever since. In the late 80's to early 90's, he lived in the San Francisco Bay Area where he stepped up his game considerably. Jon has always worked consistently due to the fact that he has learned 100's of tunes in many styles and from many eras and can focus on providing music that the audience wants to hear. |
